DAY 1 ARRIVE BERLIN, GERMANY
Welcome to Berlin! Upon arrival at you’ll meet your Assistance and driver and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and enjoy this evening’s welcome dinner at your hotel. (D)

DAY 2 BERLIN
Sightseeing in the once-divided metropolis includes the Nikolai Quarter, Unter den Linden, the Memorial Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, the Marienkirche and Reichstag and the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial Church with its bomb-damaged tower. Enjoy some free time for lunch before visiting Museum Island and the PERGAMON MUSEUM where a guided tour based on the antiques and architecture of the museum will be held. (B,D)

DAY 3 BERLIN – WITTENBERG (110km/2h)– LEIPZIG (70km/1h30min)
Depart for Wittenberg, where Martin Luther lived and taught for 36 years. Explore SCHLOSSKIRCHE (Castle Church) with a guided tour of the grounds and church, where Luther posted his 95 Theses, giving birth to the Reformation. This beautiful church is also the burial site of Luther and Melanchthon. Next, visit LUTHER HOUSE, the greatest museum of Reformation history in the world, see the Luther Monument and enter MELANCHTHON’S HOUSE and see St Mary’s Church where Luther preached. Some time at leisure in Wittenberg before heading to Leipzig. On arrival in Leipzig, take a brief look at St Nicholas Church and the memorial to the miracle of Leipzig. Check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight (B,D)

DAY 4 LEIPZIG. EXCURSION TO EISLEBEN
After breakfast this morning, learn more about this city with a walking SIGHTSEEING TOUR that ends with an inside visit to the ST THOMAS’ CHURCH – the Thomaskirche is a Lutheran Church and is most famous as the place where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a Kapelmeister and is the current location of this remains. You will have time to climb the 243 steps up to the tower of the church. Travel to Eisleben, the birthplace of Luther. Enjoy a WALKING TOUR of the city which will include LUTHERS BIRTHPLACE (now a UNESCO World Heritage Site), STERBEHAUS MUSEUM – where Luther lived, ST ANDREWS CHURCH – where Luther gave his last sermon and ST PETER AND ST PAUL CHURCH – where Luther was baptized. Some free time for lunch before travelling back to Leipzig. (B,D)

DAY 5 LEIPZIG – ERFURT (150km/2h)- EISENACH (70km/1h)
Drive to Erfurt, where the fine gothic and renaissance buildings evoke memories of the days of Dominican Master Echkart and Martin Luther, who spent his student days here. Visit the AUGUSTINIAN MONASTERY where Luther lived as a monk and enjoy a guided walk of the town where you will be shown places connected to Luther, including the Luther Monument and St Michael’s Church. Visit the MARIENDOM CATHEDRAL where Luther was ordained in 1507. Depart for Eisenach where you will have a WALKING TOUR with sights including Luther House – where he lived as a schoolboy, St Georges Church – where Luther sang in choir as well as other historic buildings and streets which characterize the town. Upon completion of your walking tour, visit WARTBURG CASTLE, where Luther translated the bible. (B,D)

DAY 6 EISENACH - WORMS (250km/3h)
This morning we travel to Worms, where the Imperial Council passed judgment on Luther in 1521, visit the CATHEDRAL where Luther presented his case, St Peter’s and the Luther Room in the CITY MUSEUM which contains original manuscripts by Luther as well as the TRINITY CHURCH and the famed REFORMATION MONUMENT. Learn about another Reformer, William Tyndale, who finished his printing of the English Bible in Worms, escaping persecution in England. In 1525 his New Testament was printed and smuggled back into England. It was the first translation of the Bible (New Testament) from the original Greek into English. Enjoy dinner this evening at a local restaurant. (B, D)

DAY 7 WORMS – STRASBOURG, FRANCE (150km/2h)
Journey towards Strasbourg and cross the border from Germany into France and arrive at the Place d’Etoile in Strasbourg. John Calvin wrote his famous books on systematic theology in Strasbourg and Martin Bucer, another Reformation leader from Strasbourg is buried in St. Thomas’s Church, a principle Protestant Church since 1549. Drive to the University Palace to see the Statue of the Reformers. Proceed by coach to La Petite France quarter where you will start a walking tour through the quarter to include a visit to ST THOMAS’ CHURCH. Next you will visit the CATHEDRAL OF STRASBOURG with its amazing Astronomical clock. Enjoy free time for lunch before heading to your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 8 STRASBOURG – BASEL (130km/2h)
After breakfast, depart for Basel where you will enjoy a city sightseeing tour before visiting the FINE ARTS MUSEUM for a guided tour. Then onto Market Square where you will have free time for lunch before taking a guided tour of the BASEL CATHEDRAL, with its inscriptions about Erasmus and Mathematician Bernoulli’s grave. Also see the display of the rare volumes by Luther, Erasmus and Zwingli. Check in your hotel for dinner and overnight (B,D)

DAY 9 BASEL – CONSTANCE (150km/2h) – ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (70km/1h)
Arrive in Constance in time for Holy Mass taking place in CONSTANCE CATHEDRAL, followed by a guided tour. Constance Cathedral, site of the Council of Constance in 1415, is where Jan Hus was sentenced to death for his so-called heresy. Visit the “HUSSENSTEIN”, the stone that marks the spot where Hus was burned at the stake. Some free time for lunch. Continue on to Zurich, the most prominent Swiss city. This is Ulrich Zwingli’s city. It was here in the Old City that Felix Manz was martyred in the Limmat River. We’ll visit the GROSSMUNSTER CHURCH and its statue of Ulrich Zwingli, one of the most important Reformers. Have free time in Zurich, then board the coach bound for your hotel. Tonight, enjoy dinner at your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 10 ZURICH – GENEVA (280km/4h)
Depart for Geneva and arrive at the Place de Neuve (in front of the Grand Theatre) where you will have some free time for lunch before joining a walking tour. Your guide will take you through the maze of narrow, cobble-stone streets of the Old Town where you will see the Town hall, the Arsenal and Reformation Wall as well as the Calvin Auditory and Calvins Grave. DAY 11 GENEVA – ROME, ITALY (Flight)
Today, visit ST PETERS Church which incorporates the Maccabees chapel, bell tower, cathedral and underground MUSEUM. Enter the Reformation Museum. This afternoon enjoy a tour to some more of Geneva’s Protestant churches. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rome, EasyJet flight U21345 departs at 1850 (6.50pm) and arrives in Rome at 2020 (8.20pm). Upon arrival, you will be and transferred to your Rome hotel. DAY 12 ROME
Today, discover Rome. This morning we visit the Vatican and Sistine Chapel on a guided tour. This afternoon cross the Tiber River and dip into ancient Roman history by visiting the COLOSSEUM, the largest amphitheatre ever built. See the ROMAN FORUM, site of military processions, elections, trials, and the overall centre of Roman public life for centuries. (B,D)

DAY 13 ROME
Today, visit ST. PAUL OUTSIDE THE WALLS, one of Rome's four major Papal basilicas built by Constantine on the grave of St. Paul, beheaded by Nero around 65-67 AD, and explore the mysterious ancient CATACOMBS that run under the city. During the persecutions, the catacombs were used as places of refuge for the celebration of the Eucharist. Next, visit ST. JOHN LATERAN BASILICA and the HOLY STAIRS, brought from Jerusalem to Rome around 326 AD by St. Helena, mother of Constantine the Great. Officially, pilgrims may only ascend these 28 white marble steps on their knees. Tonight, join your travelling companions for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

DAY 14 DEPART ROME
This morning after breakfast and check-out, enjoy free time before joining your group transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
