Ohrid Summer Festival, July- August - one of the largest and most important music and drama festivals in Macedonia.
The Balkan Festival of Folk songs and Dances, Ohrid, July - presents numerous original songs and dances from folk cultures.
Days of Macedonian Music, Skopje, March- April - popularization of the oldest manifestation in Macedonia that promotes professional music work.
Festival of Folk Instruments and Songs, Dolneni village, June - the performers show their skills with different folk instruments and songs.



Day 1 Skopje
Arrival at the airport and transfer to Mavrovo.

Day 2 Mavrovo – Galichnik (150km/3h)
Visit of the monastery St. Jovan Bigorski - the wonderful and the unique iconostasis make it one of the most beautiful monasteries in Macedonia. The church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Continue to Galichnik - this small but beautiful and proud village is the center of the Mijak region. Visit the Museum of Galichnik “Vila Dosta” and learn all about the history and tradition of the region. Overnight.

Day 3 Galichnik – Oteshevo (180km/3h)
Drive to Otechevo and begin the trip on a raft on the lake, making stops in the village of Stenje and the beach Vakuf where you will visit Monastery St. Ilija. Another stop is the village Konjsko which is located in the valley of Lake Prespa. Finally, arrive to the island of Golem Grad. There you will notice traces of various historic periods including the two churches from the 14 c. - St. Peter and St. Dimitrija. The island is known as the ‘Snake Island’. Those typical fishing villages are giving the opportunity to acquaint them through the old ways of fishing and cooking the fish. Overnight.

Day 4 Oteshevo – Tetovo (190km/3,30h) – Skopje (60km/1h)
Visit the smallest ethno museum in the world located in the picturesque village of Dzepchishte, on the foot of the monastery St.Bogorodica and the church St. Atanasie. The museum is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The museum displays 1150 items made of 30 different materials. It offers room for only one visitor at a time. So far, the museum has been visited by 6000 visitors from all over the world. Continue to Skopje for overnight.

Day 5 Skopje area
Drive along the Treska river canyon to the monastery and church of Virgin Mary. Walk to Lake Matka and the church St. Andrew dating from the 14th century. The numerous old Christian monuments are situated on the slopes of Skopska Crna Gora. On the way back visit Markov Monastery. Overnight in Skopje.

Day 6 Skopje
Transfer to airport.
