Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), Kilpisjarvi, February-March - greenish-yellow, red or violet lights curl and stretch across the midnight skies in Finnish Lapland.
Midsummer Festival, Seurasaari Island, June - Huge bonfires are lit, traditional dancing kicks off and the energetic test their strength in rowing races.
Wife Carrying World Championships, Sonkajarvi, July - men carry their wives on their backs through over 250m of obstacles, including a water jump.
Northern Motion, Rovaniemi, June - July - traditional dance, music and song fill the streets, marketplaces and stages .

Day 1 Helsinki
Arrival transfer.

Day 2 Helsinki - Turku (170km/2h)
Drive to Turku.Visit Turku Cathedral, Mother Church of the Evangelical, Lutheran Church of Finland, and the country’s national shrine.

Day 3 Turku - Rauma (90km/1,30h) - Hämeenlinna (200km/2,30h)
Visit Rauma with the Franciscan monastery,where the mid-15th-century Holy Cross Church still stands. Departure to Hämeenlinna.

Day 4 Hämeenlinna
Here is one of the largest castles in Finland. See the Holy Cross Church - gothic church, built mostly of red bricks.See the Ahvenisto ridge, and enjoy the beach of the lake Ahvenisto.

Day 5 Hämeenlinna - Tampere (80km/1h)
Depart by boat for a lake cruise to Tampere.Visit Visavuori, a museum entity comprising the Home and Atelier Museum of the artist Emil Wikström. Disembark in Tampere.

Day 6 Tampere
See Finland largest glass sculpture,visit The Iittala Glass Center, Old Church on the edge of the Tampere Central Square, the Vapriikki Museum Centre, continue to Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame, go to the Amuri museum and enjoy the famous Finish public sauna.


Day 7 Tampere - Mänttä (90km/1,30h) - Petäjävesi (60km/1h) - Jyväskylä


Drive to Mänttä. Enter the Gösta Serlachius Museum of Fine that presents a unique collection of classics of Finnish art and old European painting. Continue to the old wooden church at Petäjävesi. Departure to Jyväskylä.

Day 8 Jyväskylä - Mikkeli (120km/1,30h) - Lappeenranta (110km/2h)

Drive to Mikkeli - earlier it was the largest wooden vicarage in Finland.Continue to Lappeenranta.Visit Wolkoff House museum.Overnight.

Day 9 Lappeenranta - Kotka (110km/1,30h) - Helsinki (100km/1,30h)
Continue to Kotka.Visit the imperial fishing lodge.Next stop is Ruotsinpyhtää. Explore the old ironworks.Arrival in Helsinki and visit two main churches - the Lutheran Cathedral and the Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral.Visit Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen’s Temppeliaukio Church.

Day 10 Helsinki
