Day 1 Milano
Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 Milano (172km/3h) Borgo Val di Taro
Start the day with lunch at a traditional trattoria in Milan, where you will enjoy a menu showcasing local cuisine. After lunch, visit the Duomo di Milano and its marble baptistery. Continue to Borgo Val di Taro, in the Apennine area, for your overnight stay.

Day 3 Borgo Val di Taro
Today learn how parmesan cheese is made when you visit a local producer. Then drive high into the hills, on the border with Liguria and Emilia Romagna, for a fabulous ridge walk. In the afternoon enjoy tour in Borgo Val di Taro , Citta Slow (Slow Food town),to experience the Porcini Mushroom fair before dinner at a delightful organic farm. Overnight in Borgo Val di Taro.

Day 4 Borgo Val di Taro (32km/1h)Pontremoli (12km/15min) Lunigiana
Stay in a beautiful agriturismo converted from a 16th-century hamlet overlooking the town. This will be your base for the next day as you explore Lunigiana, a lesser-known part of Tuscany nestled between the Apennines and the Mediterranean coast.okReturn to Pontremoli for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Pontremoli
The day is free to explore Pontremoli. The town lies in a strategic position on the river Magra and it was an important stopping place on the Via Francigena. The 14th century castle houses a fascinating museum of menhirs. Overnight.

Day 6 Pontremoli(41km/1h) Sarzana (9km/20min) Lerici
Enjoy coastal views as you walk to Fosdinovo where you visit the imposing castle of the Malaspina family. After visiting a small wine producer in the village you descend through vineyards and olive groves, past rustic farms, to the fortified town of Sarzana. Continue to the pretty coastal town of Lerici, once home to Lord Byron, where you stay for the night.

Day 7 Lerici (43km/1h30min) Cinque Terre (49km/1h30min)Portovenere(25km/1h) Lerici
Free day with a boat cruise across the Gulf of Poets to the Cinque Terre. Opportunity to walk some of the stunning coastal path, swim or explore the lovely town of Portovenere and the small island of Palmaria. Return to Lerici for an overnight.

Day 8 Lerici (244km/2h30min)Milano
Transfer to Milano airport for a final departure.
