Day 1 Caracas, Venezuela
Arrive at Caracas Airport and have a transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Caracas - Maturin (flight) - San Jose de Buja - Camp Morichal Largo (boat)
In the morning take a flight eastwards to Maturin, an important commercial centre and capital of Monagas state. After arrival start a descend to the great plain of Monagas and then head towards a small port, San Jose de Buja, on the banks of the Morichal Largo River. From here board a boat that will take you on a trip into the delta of the Orinoco River. Be prepared to admire, as you travel, a variety of birds and perhaps even dolphins or the rare manatee. Tonight you will stay in a comfortable rustic camp beds or hammocks.

Day 3 Orinoco Delta
This morning take an early boat journey into the misty silence of the tranquil delta at dawn. Later, visit a Warao Indian community, living in stilt huts along the river, where you will learn about their customs and traditions. Today’s activities include a jungle walk and fishing. The name Warao comes from War-aroa, meaning ‘people of the canoes’ and even the youngest children are able to swim and paddle canoes almost as soon as they can walk. Return to your camp for overnight.

Day 4 Camp Morichal Largo - San Jose de Buja (boat) - Ciudad Bolivar
Today make the same way back to Buja and continue by road to Ciudad Bolivar. Arrive in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.

Day 5 Ciudad Bolivar - Kavac (flight)
From Ciudad Bolivar you will take a flight to the Pemon Indian settlement of Kavac in the Kamarata valley. Meanwhile flying if the weather conditions allow, you will be able to admire some magnificent views. See the Devil’s Mountain and the unique Angel Falls from the air. Arrive in Kavac and have an accommodation in a simple camping tonight.

Day 6 Kavac - Iwana Meru (motorised canoe) - Angel Falls
This morning have some free time and later, board a motorised canoe and begin the exciting journey to Angel Falls. Overnight in a simple camping.

Day 7 Angel Falls
Today make our way round the imposing flat-topped bulk of the majestic Auyán-tepui by river. After that you will take a hike in the jungle to Alexander Laime's look out, a stunning lookout point, named after the first human who reached the Angel falls. Continue hiking and reach the foot of the highest waterfall in the world! Discovered only in 1933 by the pilot-adventurer Jimmy Angel who was searching for gold, the falls are a spectacle of extraordinary beauty as they leap some 975m off the top of the Ayuán-tepui mountain in the Canaima National Park. Overnight in hammocks at a rustic camp near Ratoncito Island.

Day 8 Canaima National Park
Spend the day discovering Canaima National Park. Visit Salto el Sapo, a small waterfall where you can walk behind the curtain of falling water as it tumbles into the lagoon. Later, reach the Canaima Lagoon, with the backdrop of distant and mysterious tepuis, and enjoy last night in this natural paradise. Accommodation in a lodge, located on the shores of the Canaima Lagoon.

Day 9 Canaima - Caracas (flight) - Barinas (flight)
Today fly via Caracas to Barinas and overnight in a charming hotel in Barinas, a commercial centre and gateway to the Venezuelan Andes, the Colombian border and the Hot Plains or Los Llanos. Alligators, anacondas and anteaters are frequently spotted in the Llanos. This vast area contained between the Andes and the Orinoco is the largest wilderness area in Venezuela.

Day 10 Los Llanos
Continue the journey via Puerto Nutrias and discover the tropical wildlife here. Start your photo safari in one of the finest areas in the world to see birds and animals. Visit a working cattle ranch and have the chance to observe alligator, anaconda, turtle, freshwater dolphin and armadillo. Learn about the life of the Venezuelan cowboys and have an opportunity to fish in the rivers where you can expect to catch piranhas! Overnight in a simple camping.

Day 11 Los Llanos
Have one more day for different activities and exploration of this tropical grassland.

Day 12 Los Llanos - Colonia Tovar
Early departure takes you on a long driving to the Caribbean foothills. Arrive in Colonia Tovar early evening and overnight.

Day 13 La Colonia Tovar
Have a free day to explore the charming town of Colonia Tovar with its typical german houses and architecture. The village is nestled in the cloud forest and it was founded by German settlers in 1843. Today the Colonia Tovar is a quiet farming community, dedicated to producing temperate climate fruit and vegetables. Don’t miss to try the local german cuisine while you are here.

Day 14 Colonia Tovar - Caracas (Caracas Airport)
Today leave Colonia Tovar and travel about 60 km to Venezuela’s capital to catch your flight back home.
