Day 1 Madrid
Arrival at Madrid airport and transfer to your hotel.Overnight in Madrid.

Day 2 Madrid
Half day sightseeing tour including Puerta del Sol, Plaza de España with its monument to Cervantes, the Parliament, Cibeles Fountain, elegant Calle Alcala, and Paseo de Castellana. Afternoon optional tour to El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen or visit the Prado museum.Overnight in Madrid.

Day 3 Madrid – Segovia (90 km/1,30h) - Ávila (70 km/1,30h) - Salamanca (110 km/1,30h)
A day in beautiful Castile. Cross the rugged Sierra de Guadarrama on the way to Segovia, famous for its Alcazar and the 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct. Next stop for pictures of the walled town of Ávila where St.Theresa founded the Order of Carmelites. Overnight in Salamanca, whose baroque Plaza Mayor is one of the country’s most beautiful squares.

Day 4 Salamanca – Fátima (390 km/4,30h) – Lisbon (130 km/2h)
The majestic scenery of the Serra da Estrela mountain range forms the backdrop of the morning drive into Portugal. Before heading for Lisbon, stop and visit the Basilica of our lady of the Rosary in Fátima. Continue to Lisbon for overnight.

Day 5 Lisbon
In the morning enjoy a half day sightseeing tour including Belem Tower and Jeronimo’s Monastery with the tomb of Vasco da Gama.Drive past the bull ring to Pombal Statue and on along the grand Avenida da Liberdade. Then walk through the cobbled alleys of ALFAMA, the quarter of the seamen. Afternoon at leisure. Optional – Fado style dinner.Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 6 Lisbon – Sevilla (470 km/5,30h)
On the way back to Spain cross the Alentejo plains of cork tree forests to reach the vibrant capital of Andalusia in the early afternoon. Free time. Overnight in Seville.

Day 7 Sevilla
City tour including the green park of Maria Luiza, Plaza de España with its tiled benches, the Gold Tower on the Guadalquivir River, and the university that used to be the tobacco factory of Carmen fame. Visit the largest gothic Cathedral in the world with Columbus’ tomb and stroll through the narrow lanes of the charming Santa Cruz quarter. Free afternoon and optional flamenco show for the evening. Overnight in Sevilla.

Day 8 Sevilla - Tangier, Morocco (260 km/4,30h)
Drive through the sunny sherry wine region of Jerez to Algeciras. From here a ferry crossing across the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa. Continue to Tangier, jumping off point for the Moorish conquest of Spain and home town of the legendary medieval traveler Ibn Batuta. Sightseeing with tour includes a stop for pictures at the sultan’s palace and a panoramic drive to Cap Spartel, where you will quench your thirst Bedouin-style with a glass of hot mint tea. Later time to explore this fascinating city on your own. Overnight in Tangier.

Day 10 Tangier – Torremolinos (200 km/3h)
Visit Tangier’s colorful Grand Suko market and explore the narrow streets of the Casbah. Then return across the Straits and drive to Torremolinos on Costa del Sol for overnight.

Day 11 Torremolinos – Granada (140 km/2,30h)
Drive into the mountains to reach Granada. Visit its main attraction, the Alhambra, the Old quarter and the magnificent Water gardens of the Generalife, the royal summer residence. Afternoon free. Overnight in Granada.

Day 12 Granada – Córdoba (200 km/3h)
Transfer to Córdoba. Know more about the history and traditions of this intriguing city, with its beguiling mix of Roman, Arabic and Spanish history. Overnight.

Day 13 Córdoba – Toledo (350 km/4,30h) - Madrid (80 km/1,30h)
Drive north through the olive and orange groves of the rolling Andalusian hills to reach Toledo, spectacularly situated on a granite hill surrounded by a loop of the Tagus River. City tour that covers the Moorish bridge, an early Synagogue, the 13th-century Gothic Cathedral, and the Church of Santo Tome with one of El Greco’s most famous paintings. Late afternoon drive to Madrid for overnight.

Day 14 Madrid
Transfer to the airport for final departure.
