Day 1 Bucharest
Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 Bucharest - Sinaia (130km/1,30h) – Bran (80km/1h) – Brasov
Departure to Sinaia and the fabulous Peles Castle. Continue to the legendary Dracula’s Castle. Arrival in Brasov, the second most visited city in Romania. Enjoy the walk in the old town and its centuries-old buildings.

Day 3 Brasov – Bicaz Gorges (210km/3,30h)
Continue to Moldavia and the fascinating painted monasteries. Enjoy the rural paradise. Driving through the Bicaz gorges, on one of Romania’s most spectacular road. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery in the Red Lake resort.

Day 4 Painted Monasteries of Moldavia
Explore Suceavita, Moldovita, Voronet and Putna. Pilgrims and the wicked unite in their appreciation of the arresting beauty. Discover more about the local culture in the Marginea village.

Day 5 Marginea - Maramures (280km/5h)
Explore Maramures. Enjoy the charm and marvel at the wooden churches of Poienile Izei, Budesti and Barsana. Admire Vadu Izei, famous for its immense carved wooden gates that illustrate the social status of the inhabitants. Continue to the Merry Cemetery of Sapanta.

Day 6 Sapanta – Sighisoara (380km/6h)
Driving into the heart of Transylvania. Arrival in Sighisoara. Explore the best preserved and continuously inhabited medieval town in Europe. Get into the Sighisoara Citadel that makes you feel like floating through another time and space.

Day 7 Sighisoara - Biertan – Sibiu (80km/1,30h)
Travel to Biertan. Its Saxon church is the best-known of the fortified churches in Transylvania. Continue to Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007. Enjoy the historic centre, dating from the 12th century.

Day 8 Sibiu
The day starts going to the Astra Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization, the largest open-air museum in Europe. Continue on to the fortified churches of Cisnadie and Cisnadioara.

Day 9 Sibiu – Bucharest (280km/3,30h)
Back to Bucharest. Explore the colossal Palace of Parliament. Continue to the Revolution Square, where communist Romania came to an end. The Romanian Athenaeum is the next stop. It is the neo-classical home of the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.

Day 10 Bucharest
Transfer to the airport.
