International Summer Carnival, Kotor, August — a spectacular summer carnival featuring colorful parades, live music, traditional costumes, and plenty of local food, drinks, and dancing throughout the streets of Kotor.
International Music & Folk Dance Festival “Stari Grad”, April — an international cultural festival held across several coastal towns in Montenegro, including Kotor, Budva, and Herceg Novi, featuring ballet, contemporary dance, and traditional folk performances from around the world.
Day 1 Podgorica
Arrival transfer.
Day 2 Podgorica (50km/1h) Ostrog (79km/1h30min) Virpazar
Podgorica is situated on the shores of six rivers - Moraca, Ribnica, Zeta, Sitnica, Marez and Cijevna Rives. Visit the Old Turkish town called “Stara Varoš”, with its mosques and old clock tower. See also St. George’s church, built in 10th century, on the slopes of the Gorica hill. Continue with a visit to the Ostrog, Montenegro’s largest Orthodox shrine. Continue to Virpazar for overnight.
Day 3 Virpazar - Scadar Lake (20km/30min) – Virpazar
Visit Scadar lake - the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula. The Scadar Lake hides numerous endemic species of flora and fauna. It is rich with cultural and historic monuments. Return to hotel. Overnight.
Day 4 Virpazar (34km/1h)Cetinje (15km/30min) Njegusi (48km/1h) Budva
Departure to Cetinje. Visit Cetinje Monastery,The Blue Palace, Zetski Dom, The Government House. Continue to Njegusi village. It is significant for its well-preserved traditional folk architecture. Departure to Budva - the centre of Montenegro’s tourism. The town is 2 500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic seacoast. Overnight in Budva.
Day 5 Budva (24km/1h)Bay of Kotor (15km/30min) Perast (4km/15min) Risan (18km/30min)Kotor
Departure to the Bay of Kotor. The picturesque towns of Kotor, Risan, Tivat, Perast, Prcanj, Herceg Novi and Budva along with their natural surroundings are major tourist attractions. Risan is the oldest settlement. Perast represents the best-preserved baroque entity on the Adriatic Sea. Kotor is a town that is a story in itself. Overnight in Kotor.
Day 6 Kotor (61km/1h30min)Bar (27km/30min) Ulcinj
Drive to Ulcinj. On the way stop in Bar-a lovely harbour-city. Continue to Ulcinj. The architecture best exhibits the history of mixture of people in this town. Overnight in Ulcinj.
Day 7 Ulcinj (78km/1h30min)Podgorica
Transfer to the airport.
