Rome - Orvieto - Pienza - Perocino Farm - Montepulciano - Flonrence - Chianti road - Sienna - Assisi - Rome

Day 1 Rome - Orvieto (130km/2,30h)
Arrival to Rome airport. Proceed to Orvieto. Visit the Gothic Cathedral, and the Luca Signorelli Fresco, located in the Chapel of San Brizio. In the Cathedral we will see the Corporal of Bolsena, preserved in a rich reliquary, dated to 1328. Visit the Well of St. Patrick, built by Pope Clement VII during the Sack of Rome in 1527 by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Proceed to our hotel in Tuscany. Dinner at hotel.

Day 2 Pienza - Pecorino Farm (120km/2h) - Montepulciano (130km/2,30h)- Brunello winery (40km/1h)
Full day dedicated to small picturesque towns in Tuscany region, along the Small Chianti Road. Start with the Tuscan gourmet town – Pienza, by walking along the lovers alleys and visit stores offering an excellent selection of local cheese. Proceed to a tasteful visit at a farm of the local Pecorino cheese. Then on to the exceptional town of Montepulciano, which rests on a limestone ridge. Proceed to taste the notable wine of Brunello di Montalcino at his homeland and learn about the process of making it. Back to hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 Florence
Today head to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Visit this charming place with its bridges, galleries and impressive Basilica which dome dominates the skyline of the city. In the afternoon prepare for a cooking class and a central market tour with the famous italian chefs. Learn how to cook a nice Tuscan meal and have a dinner afterwards. Overnight.

Day 4 Florence - Classic Chianti road - Italian cuisine course - Sienna
Today drive along the famous Wine Road of the Chianti Region – SS 222 - towards the farm where we’ll learn more secrets of the Italian cuisine and we’ll have a the chance to taste their authentic food for lunch. Meanwhile we’ll visit the local winery of the Chianti and have a taste of its product. Proceed to visit the town of Sienna, the city of the Palio (horse race). See the shell-sized Piazza del Campo, where the Palio takes place twice a year. Visit the plaza of the medieval cathedral. Accommodation and dinner at hotel.

Day 5 Assisi - Tartufo search
Full day dedicated to the green heart of Italy - Umbria region. Start with Assisi, well known and the birthplace of its patron – St. Francis, the founder of the Franciscan Order. Visit the cathedral with its ceiling embellished with the frescoes of Giotto. A unique experience waits for us here – looking for for the Tartufo (Truffle) mushrooms, getting the help of local dogs trained for that mission. Back to our hotel. After a short break, depart for our last dinner together in a typical Tuscan restaurant, accompanied with music. Late return to hotel.

Day 6 Rome
Transfer to Rome Airport for your final departure.
