DAY 1: ARRIVAL > NAIROBI > MERU NATIONAL PARK
Arrival into Nairobi International Airport (NBO), meet your English Speaking Driver (ESD) and transfer Wilson Airport for your flight to Meru National Park
09:15 Depart Wilson Airport
10:25 Arrival into Meru Airstrip, meet your English Speaking Driver / Guide (ESD/G) and transfer to the lodge

Meet your ESD/G and depart on your afternoon game drive
The park has enormous diversity of habitat and wildlife, game drives will take you through forests, past giant baobab trees, through clear spring fed streams lined with palms. This is lion and elephant country, but also Meru has many rare species including caracal, the beautiful Lesser Kudu, aardwolf, and over 400 species of birds.
“Sundowners” are an old tradition after a day of safari: stop and watch the spectacular sunset with, traditionally, a gin and tonic in hand.

DAY 2: MERU NATIONAL PARK

Spend the day adventuring on a game drives, hike up to the peak of Mughwango Hill which offers spectacular views of the Park, and Tana River excursion (during the dry season). Look for lion, rhino, elephant, zebra, leopard, and more than 427 species of birds and in the rivers, you can spot hippos and crocodiles.

Visit the Adamson Camp to learn about the author, her trails and the real Elsa.
The park was made famous in the 1960s by Joy & George Adamson, who reintroduced their beloved lioness “Elsa” into the wild in Meru National Park. They wrote a book about their experience which was made into a feature film “Born Free” starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers – a ground breaking movie; the first to depict wild animals as endearing creatures, whose plight the audience could sympathize with. George Adamson continued to work with lions, living to the south of Meru National Park, until his death in 1989. Both Joy Adamson, and Elsa the lioness, are buried in Meru National Park.

Afternoon visit to the William Holden Animal Orphanage
William Holden was not only known for his many achievements as an actor and Hollywood film star. In his private life he was driven by a curiosity that kept him travelling around the world for many years. Finally when he visited Kenya he fell in love with the country, its people and its nature and specially the wildlife.He teamed up the Julian McKeand, an ex-professional hunter, naturalist and game warden, and Don and Iris Hunt, exotic animal specialists. Together they built the Mount Kenya Game Ranch for the purpose of breeding and preserving endangered species.

DAY 4: MOUNT KENYA (NANYUKI)

Depart and drive to Ol Pajeta conservancy for game viewing and visit Chimpanzee and Rhino sanctuary.With the snowy peaks of Mt. Kenya as your backdrop, your safari in East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary is sure to be as beautiful as it is diverse. Find yourself and the Big Five as you explore 90,000 acres of pure wild.Venture out there for close encounters with elephants, wild dog, lion, hyena, buffalo, cheetah, rhino, and all the plains herbivores. Early morning are the best times to explore the Conservancy, as predators are on the hunt and their prey is on high alert.Continue to Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, that has been compelled to keep accepting chimpanzees rescued from around kenya - bringing the total number of chimpanzees in the Sanctuary to 36.

The afternoon is spent visiting Baraka the blind black rhino, keeping curiosity wild at the education centre, and winding down with another game drive before leaving.
Evening drive back to Nanyuki.

DAY 5: MOUNT KENYA (NANYUKI) > LAKE NAIVASHA

DAY 6: LAKE NAIVASHA (HIPPO POINT CONSERVANCY)

There’s plenty to do on a private African farm from dawn to dusk. Slow game walks or bike rides in the early morning and evening are wonderful and rich with game. More active guests can jog or bike up the hill or opt for a dawn ski on the lake. Horses can be arranged for a lovely ride around the property and surrounding farms. The sanctuary is not fenced and shares boundaries with a game reserve so it is abundant with wildlife. Our experienced guides enjoy walking you among the animals - a feeling of being one with nature. The place is also a bird lovers dream with over 500 species of birds. Mountain bikes allow us to stay true to our vision of using cars only when we have to - such as at night to limit contact with large Hippo grazing or to see them on a night drive.

DAY 7: LAKE NAIVASHA > MASAI MARA

10:15 Depart Loldia Airstrip
11:00 Arrival into Masai Mara Airstrip, meet your safari guide and transfer to the lodge with an en route game drive

DAY 8: MASAI MARA

The Maasai Mara, the ʺspotted landʺ of the Maasai people, is home to the greatest migration on earth. Enjoy an unforgettable day of 4-Wheel-Drive or walking safaris through these plains rich with flora and fauna, including all of the Big Five. Spot the big cats, including lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena, as well herds of wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, elephant and more than 300 bird species.

Take time for other included activities, such as a cultural visit to the Maasai village (or engage) to learn about the local culture and traditional ways, to meet the Maasai warriors. You can also visit to a local school, and take guided nature walks. (Entrance to be paid on the spot directly)

DAY 9: MASAI MARA > NAIROBI

Meet your safari guide and transfer to Masai Mara Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport (Nairobi)
11:00 Depart Masai Mara
12:15 Arrival into Wilson Airport, meet your ESD and transfer to the hotel
Lunch on own account at the hotel.
16:00 Visit the nearby David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
Established in 1977, this is a small, flexible sanctuary is run by his widow, Dame Daphne Sheldrick, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants and rhinos. Meet the orphaned animals and the people who handle and care for them – a truly loving staff.

DAY 10: NAIROBI > DEPART
Breakfast at the hotel and check out
10:30 After breakfast you are taken on a visit of the Giraffe Center, a wildlife conservancy and breeding center for the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Learn about their educational programs, and watch the giraffes, as well as and a variety of other birds and animals including warthogs, hyenas and leopard in this preserved natural habitat.
