Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVE HELSINKI (D)

Arrive to Helsinki at own arrangement.

At 19:00 meet with Wedo Nordic representative in the hotel lobby and go for a welcome dinner with 3 courses menu at local restaurant. During the dinner you will get introduction to the tours and your fellow traveller.

Accommodation at Haven Hotel, a first-class hotel conveniently located in the centre of Helsinki

Day 2: HELSINKI – ESPOO – HELSINKI (B)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel, and meet with local guide and coach at 09:00 to see the famous sights and unique architecture in the centre of Helsinki. Visit the amazing Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church) which excavated directly out of rugged solid rock and rubble wall. Combine the city tour with a trip to Espoo to see and experience urban structure that is a mixture of modern city with large natural areas and peaceful nature. Return to Helsinki and enjoy time at the local market to get lunch on own.

In the afternoon you will experience Helsinki from the water by RIB boat as well as passing many beautiful island where you can experience the wild nature and local life. Return to hotel late afternoon and enjoy the evening on your own.

Day 3: HELSINKI – PORVOO – JÄRVENPÄÄ – VILLA KOKKONEN – HELSINKI (B. L)

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with local guide and coach at 09:00 and start 8 hours tour to the old wooden town of Porvoo and Järvenpää. In Porvoo you will see the historical red warehouses on the scenic riverbanks and medieval cathedral. There will be some free time for a walk on the old town with delightful shops and craftsment´s workshops. Enjoy 2 courses lunch in local restaurant Hanna Maria. After lunch we continue to Järvenpää and visit the Ainola Museum where the composer Jean Sibelius lived previously and composed five of his seven symphonies. Then we wil visit Villa Kokkonen home for the composer Joonas Kokkonen with the collection of work of many artists.

Return to the hotel late afternoon and enjoy the evning on your own.

Day 4: HELSINKI

Breakfast at the hotel.

On the same date as this Helsinki City Break tour terminates, you can connect to:

• Departure#1 can connect to our group tour “Land of the Fjords superior”, starting from Bergen the same day with meeting tour leader at 19:00. Connect by flight (flight not included).

• Departure #1+#2 can be connected to Stockholm City break starting from Stockholm the same day with meeting Wedo Nordic represenatative at 19:00. Connect by flight (flight not included)
