Itinerary:

Day 1: ARRIVE ÅLESUND (D)

Arrived in Ålesund at own arrangement and check in to your hotel in the city centre. At 19:00 meet with tour leader in the hotel lobby. Enjoy welcome dinner with 3 courses menu at the local restaurant. During the dinner you will get introduction to the tours and your fellow traveller.

Accommodation including breakfast at Quality Hotel Ålesund, a modern hotel in central Ålesund.

Day 2: ÅLESUND – ROAD OF TROLLS – GEIRANGER (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with your tour leader at 09:00 and start a walking tour through the charming buildings and unique Ålesund’s pedestrian street full of interesting stories. Ålesund is built right out into the Atlantic Ocean at the centre of a group of islands. In 1905 it was devastated by fire but was rebuilt within 3 years in the fashionable style of the time, Art Nouveau. After the walking tour you leave Ålesund by coach as pass the Storfjorden and Romsdalsfjorden before reaching the national tourist road Trollstigen (Road of Trolls). This scenic route goes through west Norwegian nature at its most powerful, with a dizzying view of high and mighty mountainsides, deep fjords and fertile valleys. Along the route there are several viewpoints overlooking fjords and valleys as well as a short ferry crossing Eidsdal-Linge. Enjoy lunch at local eatery over looking beautiful Isterdalen Valley. After lunch proceed by coach. Short ferry crossing from Linge to Eidsdal and drive down the impressive Eagles Road to Geiranger as you enjoy magnificent views of Geiranger below. Late afternoon you arrive to your hotel, which is stunningly overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. Settle in before buffet dinner at the hotel. From the restaurant you have a lovely view of the fjord and mountains.

Day 3: GEIRANGER – HELLESYLT – BRIKSDAL –LEIKANGER (B, L, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel, and enjoy a calm morning at the hotel.We warmly recommend a visit to the hotel’s pool and spa area and the vintage car collection.Leave the hotel at 10:30 and drive toward ferry for a 1 hour spectacular cruise on the UNESCO listed Geiranger fjord - possibly the most

impressive of all the Norwegian fjords. During the trip between Geiranger and Hellesylt take in the amazing views of the Knivsflå waterfalls, known as the Seven Sisters and Friaren (the Suitor), and pass close by the Brudesløret (Bridal Veil) falls. Disembark in Hellesylt followed by a scenic tour along the Nord Fjord toward the world famous Briksdal Glacier. Lunch will be served in a nearby mountain restaurant facing the glacier before continuing the journey up to the glacier in open troll cars and finalize with a short walk to give you the best views of the stunning blue glacier.

Continue by coach past Sogndal village, and drive the Scenic Route along the Sogn Fjord to Leikanger.

Day 4: LEIKANGER – GUDVANGEN – FLÅM – MYRDAL –BERGEN (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave Leikanger and drive to Mannheller for a short ferry crossing to Fodnes before continuing through the Lærdal tunnel, which is one of the longest tunnels in the world with its 24,5 km. Proceed to Gudvangen, located at the head of the UNESCO-listed Nærøy Fjord. Here you embark the boat for a approx. 2 hours cruise by boat along the narrow Aurlands and Nærøy Fjords, both branches of the Sogn Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow-clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. Lunch on own. After disembarking in Flåm, ride on the amazing Flåm Railway, a masterpiece of engineering descending 2.838 feet in less than one hour. The ascent from the fjord side village of Flåm offers opportunities for photo shots of exciting waterfalls and mountain scenery. From the mountain station of Myrdal you change train for a ride on the beautiful Bergen Railway to Voss. Continue by coach toward Bergen and arrive at the hotel late afternoon/early evening. Enjoy the evning on your own in charming Bergen. Accomodation including breakfast at Radisson Blu Royal Bergen, superbly loated next to the famous Bryggen and local reastaurants.

Day 5: BERGEN (B, D)

After buffet breakfast at the hotel, meet with your tour leader and start a short introduction tour of Bergen by foot including highlights such as the famous Fish and Flower Market, the charming old Bryggen Harbour with its gabled pack houses, the popular Hanseatic Quarter and the ancient Maria Church. You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Fløien, for the best views of the city and fjords way below. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Bergen on your own. This evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner in cozy local restaurant close to your hotel. Accomodation including breakfast at Radisson Blu Royal Bergen.
