Day 1:
Arrival in OUAGADOUGOU, meeting with your guide. Night at Grand Calao.

Day 2:
Departure for south and visit of TIEBELE, considered as the heart of the Gourounsi’s country (a small ethnic group from South East of Burkina Faso, who lives in fortresses nicely painted). Cross Ghana boarder and road for TAMALE. Diner and night at Mariam Hotel.
Day 3:
Departure for KUMASI, the capital of the Ashanti’s (the most important and rich ethnic group of Ghana): tour of the royal palace and of the market (well known in West Africa owing to the trade of the famous cloth of Kente). Diner and night at Royal Basin Resort.
Day 4:
Departure for ELMINA, passing by OBUASI. Arrival for lunch, city tour, his traditional fishing harbour (the most important and colorfull of the coast) then St Georges castle, the ancient slave trade center. Diner and night at Elmina Beach Resort.
Day 5:
Morning visit of the CAPE COAST castle, an opportunity to realize how important was the slavery and gold trade. Arrival in ACCRA for lunch, then visit of National Museum, the Kwame N’Krumah mausoleum and St James area (historic part of ACCRA city). Diner and night at SSNIT hotel.
Day 6:
Road for LOME, the Togo capital which we will join for lunch. Crossing Togo boarder at the entry of the town. City tour of Lomé (the grand market, cathedral, monument to the glory of Togolese women… Diner and night at Novela Star Hotel.
Day 7:
Drive for Benin and crossing the boarder at GRAND POPO where you will enjoy the beach, under coconut trees. Thanks a local boat, you will go to the « Bouches du Roi », where the laguna meet the sea. Diner and night at Grand Popo Inn.
Day 8:
Visit of OUIDAH, the Vaudou capital: the python’s temple, the sacred forest of Kpasse and the slaves road ending at the No Return Door (registered at UNESCO world heritage)! After lunch, road for COTONOU and visit of the economic capital of Benin. Diner and night at the Lake Hotel.
Day 9:
Thanks a local boat, you will you will discover the lakeside city of GANVIE: floating market, huts on piles… Then, visit of the museum and palace of ABOMEY (registered at UNESCO world heritage), the historical capital of the kingdom of Dahomey, where you can admire some beautiful objets d’art remembering us the prestigious period of these kings... Diner and night at Dassa Inn.
Day 10:
You will cross the region of DASSA, a holy place devoted to the pilgrimage of the Black Virgin. Dassa is a town built around very strange rocks. Stop around DJOUGOU and visit of the Tanéka’ country. Diner and night at Tata Somba hotel in NATITINGOU.
Day 11:
Tour of Somba’s villages (an ethnic group from the North Benin). They live in a mountainous region called AKATORA. Their houses seems like kind of farm fortress (Tata Sombas) highly characterized by their architecture. Lunch in a local restaurant. Visit of TANOUGOU waterfalls (where you can swimm), and stay for diner and night, in an encampment located just beside warefalls, under big tropical trees.
Day 12:
You will enter in the biggest nature reserve of Benin. There you will surprise cobs, bubbles, elephants, monkeys and off course, many kind of birds. With a little chance you may also see some lions and buffaloes. Diner and night in the PENDJARI’s hotel.
Day 13:
Morning safari tour with a stop over at the pond of BALI, to see all kinds of animals that live there. Picnic at noon. After lunch, we take the road for Burkina. Dinner and night in Thialy Lodge, located on an island of the Kompienga dam.
Day 14:
On the road to Ouaga, lunch in KOUPELA, then stop at LAONGO where you will tour a site where sculptors, coming from different countries have cut the rock to give rise to contemporary sculptures; a kind of open-air museum. Dinner and night at Grand Calao.
Day 15:
Tour of OUAGADOUGOU with its bronze makers, its market and its crafts-men’s center. Lunch in a restaurant, last purchases and transfer to the airport at the end of the afternoon.
